Water Project - Do your part to save lives today!
We are privileged to be able to have clean water at our fingertips. In many parts of the world, specifically Malaysia, that is not the case. Malaysia is currently going through a water crisis---one in ten rivers are polluted. Their primary water sources, which include rivers, lakes, and reservoirs, are heavily contaminated by urbanization, agricultural use, and industry, which makes it increasingly hard for locals to obtain clean water. On Yale’s Environmental Performance Index, Malaysia was rated a percentage of 57.6 out of 100 for how well the country can protect human health against unsafe drinking water and unsafe sanitation. To compare, the United Kingdom, South Korea, and the United States received percentages of 100, 90.7, and 86.1, respectively. By donating today, you can be part of an extensive network of people who work to help these people get access to clean water.
“We shall not defeat any of the infectious diseases that plague the developing world until we have won the battle for safe drinking water, sanitation, and basic health care.” - Kofi Annan (Former secretary general of the United Nations)
